Rusty is a handsome 10 year old grade sorrel gelding standing 14.3 hands. About as sweet as they come with an overall calm demeanor. In the arena he is broke and has all the right buttons. Neckreins, pivots, side passes, maneuvers off legs and body. He transitions into gaits with ease, will pick up a canter from a walk with only leg pressure. Stops on a dime and backs up lightly. Rusty has spent the last three months with a trainer being ridden and becoming an even better horse. Working cattle and buffalo, trail riding and just every day riding. He will go out on the trail alone or with a group. Alone at times he will talk to others but he isn’t spooky. Fine with traffic, quads and dogs. Great for bathes, stands tied quietly and a gentleman for the shoer. The future goal for Rusty was to head into ranch versatility/riding but unfortunately things have changed for his owner and it’s best for Rusty to find his new home. We believe Rusty would be best suited for an intermediate rider however he would be fine for a beginner under a trainer or someone to help learn his buttons. My daughter, age 9 has ridden him a handful of times and he has never tried anything silly. Rusty has always been well taken care off and is current on feet, teeth, shots and dewormer.
