Belle

$8800

Cole Charming Rebel is a 13 year old AQHA palomino mare standing 15 hands. Belle has been with the same owner since she was a yearling. She was originally started by a cow horse trainer and then spent most of her life trail riding and being enjoyed. She has never been competed on and overall has had a pretty easy life. Over the last few years, through no fault of her own, Belle spent more time hanging out than being ridden. Most recently, I’ve put a solid 30+ day arena tune-up on her, and honestly, she has been a lot of fun. In my opinion, Belle is that perfect mix of mare grit, willingness, and wanting to please. She thrives when she has something to do, and you can tell she genuinely wants her own person. She will literally follow me around the arena with nothing on her. We’ve spent a lot of time working on body control, rebalancing, and getting her soft and supple again. The knowledge was already there it was really just a matter of bringing everything back together. Belle walks, has a jog you could sit for days, long trots beautifully, and canters. She carries herself nicely, moves off leg and body pressure, and has a great stop. She will neck rein around, although I wouldn’t call her a finished one-finger neck rein type. I also believe she would be stunning under English too! I would not classify Belle as a beginner horse. She will do best with a confident, assertive, yet quiet rider who can appreciate a mare with some feel and personality. She’s the type that I truly believe would walk through fire for her person once that relationship is there. I could also see a handy youth taking Belle a long way. She has the versatility to become a really nice all around horse, and with some additional work, I wouldn’t overlook her for the barrel pen either. She’s built for it, has some grit, and genuinely enjoys having a job.

On the trails, Belle isn’t a spooky type and has more of a walk-out style. Most of her previous trail experience was longer rides out in open country rather than riding through neighborhoods. Even after having an extended period of time off, she never offered to buck or show any nasty behavior. If anything, she was simply a little impatient at first, and that has improved dramatically since going back into consistent work. Belle is an easy keeper and currently requires no special feed or maintenance. She’s barefoot and doing well that way. She ties, bathes, loads easily, and backs out of the trailer. I would genuinely love to see someone enjoy this mare as much as I have and go do something with her. She has a lot to offer and deserves a person who will appreciate the kind of mare she is. Belle is current on shots, deworming, and teeth, and is scheduled to have her feet done next week.
