Jackandrum Beach Bum is a well-bred, 11-year-old AQHA registered gray gelding standing 14.3 hands, weighing 1,200 lbs, and wears a size 2 shoe. Jack is a finished heel horse and has been ridden by 4’s and up, depending on the rider. He can also head if needed, but is strongest on the heel side. He’s quiet in the box, hauls nicely, and was previously used on the ranch as well. In the arena, Jack rides around like one should. Walks, trots, and canters, knows his leads, neck reins, gives to the bit, works through flexions, side-passes, and pivots. He can be ridden in a variety of bits, with or without a tie-down. Jack has been a fun horse to have in the barn and has truly been used for a little bit of everything. Our daughter had never sorted before and recently took Jack — he did well and took great care of her. He’ll go trail riding, and if he does “spook” it’s a small side step before continuing on. Does seem more relaxed when out and bought rather than through the neighborhoods. He has also been very lightly started on barrels and worked through drills. With some more time, he feels like the kind that would have a nice style for someone wanting to take him that direction. Jack stands quietly tied, loads easily, and bathes well. He’s been well cared for, is legged up, and ready to go. He is current on hoof care, teeth, shots, and deworming.
