Patron

Eye On The Price is a 2019 sorrel gelding standing shy of 16 hands. Patron is a sweet gelding that is looking for someone to take him to the next level. His papers speak for themselves as he has barrel horse written all over them; Mr Jess Perry, First Down Dash, Mr Eye Opener, Special Effort. Patron did have 7 starts off the track, with small earnings. He was purchased a year ago by my clients and unfortunately due to some personal health issues, he was put on the back burner. He had an overall great demeanor and willingness to want to please. When my clients purchased his, he was on track to be started on barrels or even the roping pen. In the arena he rides around nicely and currently being ridden consistently. Walk, trots, canter with nice transitions. He flexs, works off leg and each ride he continues to get better. He has a lot of try and enjoys having a job. Truly ready to go on to the next level and finish him exactly the way you would like. He stands to be saddled, good for the shoer. At new places he will sometimes paw while tied, he is familiar with hobbles and won’t do it with them on. Enjoys being groomed and bathed. No vices such as cribbing, weaving but he does get defensive at feed time and does best being stalled to feed. Patron is not suited to be a beginners horse at this time, he has not offered any bad behavior but for instance if a bird flys out from our tree he may do a baby jump. Nothing more than a typical young horse that just to see more of the world. He is current on feet , shots , teeth and deworming. Does have an old scar on his right pastern.
