Walker

Meet Walker! He is a 7 year old grade Quarter Horse gelding standing 14.3 hands. He’s a sweet, good minded gelding with a quiet, easygoing personality that’s hard not to like. Walker has previously been used for ranch work, sorting cattle, and plenty of trail riding. In the arena, he’s straightforward and honest. He walks, trots, and canters off cue, neck reins, moves off leg pressure, and pivots with ease. He’s more on the laid back side not looking to go anywhere fast but he’s also not one you have to constantly nag to keep moving. If you continuously kick on him, he may swish his tail, but that’s the extent of it. Walker has never offered any bad behavior and stays consistent, even with time off. Out on the trail, he’s just as enjoyable. He cruises along with confidence, pays attention to his surroundings without looking for things to worry about. If something does catch his eye, it’s usually just a slight head tilt or a small step before he goes right back to work. He rides out well alone or in a group and is comfortable around traffic, dogs, bicycles, and other everyday distractions. Having been used on a ranch, Walker is comfortable around cattle, ropes, and the day to day activities that come with ranch life. He’s the kind that’s happy to put in a day’s work without making things complicated. On the ground, he’s just as enjoyable. Walker has excellent manners, enjoys attention, and genuinely likes being around people. He bathes, ties quietly, loads, lunges, and stands well to be groomed and saddled. Walker is a well rounded gelding with a great mind and the versatility to do a little bit of everything. Whether you’re looking for a dependable trail partner, a ranch horse, or a nice all-around riding horse, he’s the kind that’s easy to enjoy.
