Hancock Bertie is a 12 year old AQHA registered palomino mare standing just shy of 15 hands. This mare is built, straight conformation and stunning to look at. Very personable, loves attention and having a job of any sorts. We rehomed this mare 6 years ago, the family has ridden her on and off over the last couple years. No fault of her own, time is limited and she’s just been on the back burner. Was never finished in anything particular, just a horse to get on a ride. I just finished a 2 week tune up in the arena and she has been great, her drive and willingness to work is her strongest point. Xantha has a nice handle to her, light and quick to respond. Tad bit more forward moving especially when starting off. Not that she is trying to take off or be naughty, she likes to work. Will neck rein, give to the bit, side passes, flexions. Knows her leads, overall smooth transitions. Currently getting back in shape but is ready for her new adventure. She does well on the trails, by herself or with another horse. Not much will bother her and if it does, it’s very subtle. Does fine with dogs, vehicles, quads and dirtbikes. Xantha has been well taken care of and been honest. I think she would do well in the roping pen, ranch versatility but would honestly turn into a well rounded horse for someone to do a little bit of everything on. Due to her being for forward and responsive, she would not be ideal for a beginner rider. She needs a rider that is light and use to horses, when you ask , you will receive. Xantha is current on feet, teeth, shots and deworming. She will continue to be worked regularly until she finds her new home.
