Yeager is a 10-year-old grade gelding standing a solid 15 hands. He’s an eye-catcher with correct conformation, and when kept stalled up, he turns jet black. A nice gelding with such respectful ground manners who is also affectionate. Yeager will soak up every bit of love you’re willing to give. He’s done a little bit of everything over the years, though he was never finished in one particular discipline. Honestly, life would get busy at times, and he’d end up on the back burner for a while but every time he’s pulled out, he’s the same, reliable guy. In the arena, Yeager is a joy to ride and uncomplicated. He walk-trot-canters with smooth transitions, will pick up a canter from a walk, knows his leads, is soft in the mouth, works off your leg, and will side pass. Almost has a true one hand neck rein, does better working of leg. We’ve been riding him consistently over the past few weeks, and he just keeps getting better. Yeager is definitely more on the “whoa” side than “go” — not overly lazy, but he’s not going to argue if the day doesn’t call for hard work. He’s pushed cattle in the past and could make a fun sorting horse for someone. I could also see him doing well in lower-level ranch classes or local shows. Out on the trails, he carries his head low and minds his own business. He’ll go out alone without hesitation or in a group. If something catches his eye, he’ll give it a look and then settle right back in. He handles traffic, quads, bikes, and dogs with no issue. You can ride him bareback in a halter, he loads easily, stands for the farrier, and enjoys his baths. Yeager is a well-rounded gelding with the looks to match. He’s current on his feet, teeth, shots, and deworming. Someone is going to really enjoy this dude.
