Sparky

Sparky Nic is a 2016 AQHA bay gelding standing 14.3 hands with a nice set of papers including Reminic, Shining Spark, and Smart Chic Olena. He has a chill personality and genuinely enjoys his people. Respectful on the ground, ties, bathes, loads, and get along with everyone. In the arena he’s fun to ride and wants to please. Walks, trots, and canters, knows his leads, has a comfortable jog, carries a nice headset, moves off your leg, is soft in the bridle, and will pivot around. He would make a solid candidate for someone looking to get into ranch riding.  He’s been around cattle before and could make a nice sorting or penning horse. On the trails he does well, more confident with a buddy, but not difficult alone. If he’s unsure of something, he takes his confidence from his rider and goes along with you. Sparky is the kind that’s done a little of this and a little of that, he’s not specifically finished in one discipline, but he’s well-rounded and ready to be taken in any direction. He just finished a month of riding with us and has done very well. Sparky has been safe while with us and has done very well. That said, I do feel he would be best suited for an intermediate rider and up. He really listens to a rider’s body and beginner riders can unintentionally give him mixed signals. With someone who rides with confidence, he’s a very enjoyable, willing partner. He is current on feet, teeth, shots, and deworming.
